Heat Resistant Board Adhesive BA is an adhesive for specific heat-resistant panel connections. However, for an outdoor kitchen, the weather, substrate, and fixing must be checked separately. The high temperature declared for the adhesive does not automatically confirm the performance of every outdoor joint.
Compare the material with the surface
The manufacturer describes Vitcas BA Board Adhesive for the appropriate boards and flat masonry substrate. The datasheet indicates internal applications. Do not transfer this description without confirmation to a cover exposed to precipitation and weather changes.
The selection covers both joined surfaces. HT Fireboard has its own mounting and finishing instructions. If you change the board, check the required joint material again instead of keeping the same cartridge out of habit.
The gap matters for the selection
BA is not intended for arbitrarily filling deep irregularities. The manufacturer describes it for a specific flat substrate and controlled gaps. A test fitting of the board will show whether the contact complies with the instructions before you start the application.
Vitcas HB60 has other specified applications, including proper external connections. This is also not approval for any heavy cladding without support. Compare the type of connection, geometry, and requirements for the entire cover.
Maintain the specified board support
Indicate on the drawing the adhesive, any mechanical fastenings, and the support point. The adhesive should not inadvertently replace the structural part intended to bear weight. Also check edges and contacts with metal elements.
After completion, apply the required setting and preparation for use. Do not cover connections with a decorative layer before inspection. Recording the selected adhesive and taking a photo of the fastening will later allow recognizing whether detachment concerns surface preparation, external conditions, or a changed support method.
